• What people are saying…

“My family has loved working with Kelli! We recently completed our year-round package with her, and will definitely continue to schedule family photo shoots in the future. Starting with our maternity shoot, we loved how comfortable Kelli made us feel, and knew that the pictures would be great. Since then, we’ve had four photo shoots (newborn, 3 month, 9 month, one year) and have been absolutely thrilled with the results. Kelli has been able to capture the first year of our baby’s life, and has given us keepsakes that we will cherish forever. She’s professional without being stuffy, her turnaround time is very quick, and her images are creative and beautiful. It’s been a pleasure working with Kelli, and we’re so grateful that we purchased the year-round package.”

A little piece of Heaven!

Last month I went back home to Steamboat Springs, Colorado for “work”!  There is no place in the World that I love more than Steamboat and especially Steamboat in Autumn.  It was the best 4 days I’ve had in a long time.  Gorgeous scenery, best friends, hiking, and LOTS of picture taking = bliss to me!  I reconnected with families that I’ve known forever and I met some new ones.  Not only were they all beautiful to photograph but so amazing to work with.  I also was asked to take some pictures of the High School that I attended, The Lowell Whiteman School (more on that later).  It was such a good trip, I will definitely be doing it again next year.  Thanks to Ryan for holding down the fort here in San Diego and taking care of the boys so I could go recharge!

This is the view at my parents home that I woke up to my first morning….

Counting down the days until next year…..

Catching up!

Tonight as I’m working on family pictures from Easter, yes EASTER (so bad)! I came across these pictures I took of my boys in May.  It’s always a HUGE challenge photographing my own children – both for me and them. All three of them start to make crazy faces, pout and create a scene of some sort when I pull out my “big” camera.  I guess this is why I’m documenting my kids’ lives with my iPhone!  Anyhow, I had about 10 minutes (5 minutes in each location) to take some pictures of the boys for their Grandmothers’ for Mother’s Day.  The stars must have been aligned that day, because I got some pretty cute ones – if I do say so myself :).

I seem to have a LOT of pictures of the boys’ backs…;)

Starting to warm up….

This one is a small miracle! All three smiling and looking at the camera!

Reality….

The last picture taken. Colten and our sweet, old girl, Maggie!

Tomorrow, I’ll post some pictures of the cute Mini-Accordian photo book, (my FAVORITE photo item these days), that I made for their grandmothers’.

Lots of love!

I stopped counting how many kissing pictures were in this session at 317!  Seriously, almost every picture I took had mom or dad kissing this sweet boys face! He is SO loved and I can see why.  Logan has got to be one of the sweetest, most cuddly, calm, and smiley babies ever!  And, to say that his parents are smitten with him is a huge understatement!:)

I loved having them here in Coronado.  They are such a fun family to photograph – naturals.  If I told Heidi once how pretty she is, I told her 100 times!  She truly is a beautiful momma inside and out.  And, Dan, well Dan is just an overall great guy and it’s so fun watching him in “dad” mode! I always knew he’d make a great dad –  he certainly took great to a whole new level.

Before I show you the Coronado beach pictures, here’s a little look back at his first week home!  It’s crazy how fast time goes….

Seven months later…

Thanks again Dan & Heidi for giving me the honor of capturing your sweet family!!

XOXO,

Kelli

Brielle Jordyn ~ 7 days new

Last week I had the privilege of capturing this sweet little girl and her parents.  She was so alert and SO good!  I can see why,  her mom and dad were so calm and total naturals at this whole parenting thing!  I am so happy I get to watch this precious girl grow up!  I can always use more little girls in my life!:)  Here are some of my favorites from the day….

One last thing, Happy Birthday Brian! What a wonderful present you were given!

XOXO,

Beach today, mountains tomorrow!

I’m back from vacation only to go on vacation again tomorrow.  Well, I’ll be working 4 of the 7 days while I’m in Colorado – so it’s not all fun and games!  I love going back home and seeing family and friends and taking pictures with the mountains behind! Before I go….Here are a few sneak peeks from a La Jolla beach session I did this week with a family I absolutely adore.  I’ve been taking their pictures since this gorgeous little boy was in his Momma’s belly! 😀

I have lots more to share with you once I get caught up, (A beautiful baby girl, 2 more family beach sessions, an adorable Cowboy Birthday Party, and pictures from our trip to Tahiti).

Until then…Have a great 4th of July!

Kelli
